Sometimes you want a nice big refreshing beer or a warming glass of red wine to sip. Other times you want the fun kick of a cocktail or gentle buzz of a gin and tonic. However, there are occasions when only the immediate hit of a shot will get the party started. And it’s for just these moments that every bar needs a selection of shot glasses.

You can drink shots of all kinds of liqueurs and spirits. From the Latin twist of tequila to a warming whisky, the shot glass is designed to deliver a swift hit in any situation. Of course, that’s not to say every shot glass needs to be knocked back quickly – it’s often nicer to sip and nurse a shot. But the shot glass is always the perfect vessel to do it.

Shot glasses are small and simple, with crisp and clean designs. They are usually 25ml but do come in double shot 50ml sizes too. From short and squat to tall and lean, there is a huge amount of variation in shot glass design. Most have a thick glass base for weight and strength, although others have stems or are made from cut glass, so you can choose a style of shot glass that suits your service style.
