Dry mopping, also known as dust mopping, is one of the most effective ways of cleaning a hardwood floor if used often. It's essentially sweeping, but instead of using a broom, you can use a cotton, woven fibre or microfibre cloth head attached to a pair of long handles by a V Sweeper frame. The dry mop is wielded in much the same way a sponge mop would be, and if used regularly, it will prevent the accumulation of heavy soil and dust.
